The London & Middlesex branch is pleased to invite you to join us on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10 am for our monthly hybrid event, with family historian and speaker, Eleanor J. Rath, who will be joining us in person.

A bit about our Speaker:

Eleanor Rath is the 3x great granddaughter of James and Jemina Rath. The Rath family left Wexford County, Ireland in the early 1840s and within a few years had settled in southeast corner of Middlesex.

Eleanor grew up on the “Rath” farm at Putnam, in the family for four generations. After graduating from Western, she spent 30+ years working for local governments in London-Middlesex, Simcoe County and the Peterborough area.

Retired from public service, Eleanor’s days are now filled with historical house research for ACO London.  To date, Eleanor has traced the history of well over 100 properties and, in 2024, received the London Heritage Hero Award for her involvement in the signage program.

About the Topic:

Eleanor Rath grew up on a farm in her family for four generations.
Using her skills as a historical house researcher, Eleanor traced the history of the property, with some surprising results. Join us to learn about how property research can add to the story of your family’s place in history.

This is a hybrid meeting, so you may attend in person, or virtually – your choice. Registration is required for those planning to attend virtually. Attendance is free and open to all.

Link to register (virtual): https://bit.ly/LMOA-Feb2026 (please note: Bit.ly may redirect you – if so, click “Continue” and you will be taken to the registration page to proceed)

Once registered, a confirmation email will be sent with the meeting details.

For those attending in person, we invite you to stay after the meeting for refreshments and to socialize. The London Familysearch Library (formerly the Family History Centre), located in the building, will also be open until 12 pm to allow you to do some research.
