The London & Middlesex branch is pleased to invite you to join us on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10 am for our monthly hybrid event, with professional genealogist and speaker, Amber Lloydlangston, who will be joining us in person.

A bit about our Speaker:

Amber Lloydlangston has been the curator of history and contemporary culture at Museum London since 2014. Before that, she worked for 10 years at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. With a degree in Museum Studies and a Ph.D. in history, Amber also teaches “Introduction to Museology” as part of Western University’s M.A. in Public History and supervises to the Ontario Museum Association’s “Museums in Context” course, part of its Certificate in Museum Studies.”

Synopsis:

In Museum London’s collections of some 50,000 objects, there are innumerable family stories. In this talk, the museum’s curator of history and contemporary culture, Amber Lloydlangston, will highlight artifacts from postcards to wedding gowns to an embroidered tablecloth, which conceal and reveal some of these stories.

This is a hybrid meeting, so you may attend in person, or virtually – your choice. Registration is required for those planning to attend virtually. Attendance is free and open to all.
