Saturday, December 6th for a
Family History “Show & Share” and Dessert Potluck
Since this is a time for family gatherings and storytelling around the table, we invite you to share with us some of your family traditions, discoveries, family history mysteries (solved or unsolved), etc.
Registration:
If you wish to participate, either in-person or online, we would ask you to register by sending an email to [email protected], with the subject line: “December Show & Share”.
Registration deadline by November 25th. Please include a brief description of what you will be sharing.
Tips:
To make this enjoyable for people online, as well as in-person, we would ask presenters to create a few slides (PowerPoint or other) with notes about the object or story, so that it can be viewed easily and recorded. We ask that presentations be limited to 10 minutes.
Topics for the Show & Share might include:
- Family Holiday Traditions
- Musical Memories
- Family Heirlooms – what was handed down to you, and what will you pass on to the next generation for safekeeping?
- Family Mysteries (solved or unsolved)
- Your most Interesting Ancestor (and why)
- Breaking down a brick wall – tips
- Historical Artifacts, tools
- Photos / Paintings
- Documents – property records, letters, interesting Wills
- Military Records, medals, memorabilia
- Other
Dessert Potluck:
We will provide an array of desserts and hot apple cider. We invite others to bring a dessert to share. Please bring utensils required.
Food Bank:
We will be accepting a cash donation, or a donated item of clothing or food for the London Food Bank.
This is a hybrid meeting, so you may attend in person, or virtually – your choice. Registration is required for those planning to attend virtually. Attendance is free and open to all.

For those attending in person, we invite you to stay after the meeting for the Dessert Pot Luck and to socialize. The London Familysearch Library (formerly the Family History Centre), located in the building, will also be open until 12 pm to allow you to do some research.
